WHO WE ARE

The Brooklyn College Film Alumni Association (BCFAA) is a collection of accomplished alumni who are dedicated to providing support and mentorship to the next generation of BC filmmakers.

WHAT WE DO

We build bridges to bring students and new grads out of the classroom into careers. The programs we offer are free of charge and volunteer based. We are rewarded by a sense of purpose and gratitude in giving back to a department that's given us so much.

Workshops & Presentations:

Alumni bring their skills and experiences into the classroom as guest speakers and facilitators.

Panel Discussions:

Whether in-person or virtual, Alumni come together to answer key questions that students and new graduates have about their future careers.

Email/Social Media News:

Our newsletter and social media posts share resources, employment and internship opportunities, and promote activities, events, and projects relevant to the BC film community.

Internship/Apprenticeship:

When available, BC film alumni offer access and mentorship to students who are eager to gain on the job training.

Alumni Mixer:

The BC film community comes together to make and strengthen connections among former classmates, friends, and colleagues in the industry.

Our aim is to build a community among students, recent graduates, and alumni wherein older generations can serve the younger through activities, events, mentorship, building relationships, sharing resources, facilitating internships, finding work, and, in general, fostering an atmosphere of inspiration, encouragement, and support.
